Hog Hunting with Lone Star Wild Guide Service

Thermal Imaging

Thermal hunts are fully guided at a preferred ratio of <3;1. Thermal optics allows us to become the night patrol as we search thousands of acres for sounders of wild pigs. This is a spot and stalk style hunt as hogs are identified from hundreds of yards out and then we sneak up typically to within 50 yards before taking our shots. Guns, Ammo, and optics are provided by us on these trips. All of our hog hunts feature No-Limits, we only ask that you are willing to take what you kill unless arrangements have been made with us in advance.

Hog Dogging

Hunting hogs with dogs is quickly growing in popularity as it is a hands on adrenaline rush. Prepare to get up close and personal with wild pigs, the only allowed methods of harvest on these hunts are with a knife of bring them out alive in hobbles. These hunts are typically some of our more physically demanding and hunters should expect to get muddy and be exposed to areas with thick brush. Dress accordingly, rubber boots, pants, and long sleeves are recommended.

Stand and Feeder

Our stand and feeders hunts are a popular and affordable option for hunting pigs. This semi-guided option is available day and knight and allows hunters to relax in the comfort of a blind or pop up as they wait for pigs to come into the feeder. With this option hunters should provide their own guns and ammo unless prior arrangements have been made with us. We are set up to accommodate archery hunters as well and you can choose to hunt from the ground or a tree stand. As with all of our hog hunts No-Limits, we only ask that you take what you kill or make arrangements with us.
